MY REVIEWS OF GAY NEW YORK SEX PARTIES-just my unsolicited,non-bias thoughts on what is out there. ** BMOC-Big Men Of Color-This party is exactly what it claims to be:an unscreened group of large men of color and those that admire them. The parties are in various locations but usually bi-weekly in the Bronx. The parties are inclusive and friendly but rather narrow in their clientele. Nevertheless,if this crowd is your thing it well worth checking out.
***NEW YORK JOCK PARTY-This is a true Chelsea party with a hot group of guys in a narrow age range of about 25-35. These well-organized parties are held in a clean apartment usually twice each month.E mailed photos are the criteria but you must match what you send. If you are eye candy and like watching other bob bons-this is the party. Attitude permeates the atmosphere with the feeling that almost everyone is waiting for something better to come along. Thus the action is minimal and hardly inclusive. Tends to be a hot underwear party where the action takes place later and elsewhere if you can hook-up.Nevertheless it is about the hottest voyeur action you will find in NYC.
*****NEW YORK BY NIGHT (NYBN)-This party really does live up to its claim of "well-built,well-groomed,handsome professionals".You may not want to be bothered by the host's(Richard) requirement of screening by phone followed by a personal interview but it pays off in attracting a stellar group of guys. From college cuties to established (but hot) suits -age range is 20's thru 40's. There is a wonderful inclusive social atmosphere and all the safe action you might want -pressure free and very friendly. Held in a large clean garment district loft NYBN is very strict about the safe-sex and drug free policy. You will have to be fit,bright and personable to get on the membership list which seems to create some controversy on CL from those who do not make the cut.. Try NYBN if you are new to these things or if you believe that the gay scene is jaded and insular-you will be in for a rare treat (an addictive one) I don't miss this party!
**BISHOP-This is an unscreened party held monthly in various hotel rooms around the city . Usually a lunchtime party and a cocktail hour party later that day. Attracts a very varied group of older guys who like the timing. Usually 15-20 men but not social and a bit awkward if you are hesitant to participate. They keep it organized but do little to make it more appealing. Probably worth a try if you can only get away from the spouse(wife or husband) at lunch time. 0*'s GALLERY-Consider yourself lucky not to be solicited to this seedy,filthy dark garment districxt party.Held weekly and actually gets a couple dozen guys-its too dark to see what they look like but you know they are there. Management is curt if not downright rude.These guys are not doing the community any favors. Conjures up pre-stonewall gay underground life.I don't want that kind of nostalgia but you may.
***NEW YORK JACK's-The original New York Jerk off party. Weekly and not screened it is a welcoming friendly atmosphere if maybe it could be cleaner.Strict"lips above hips" policy.The crowd could not be more varied from the frightened twink to the elder bear.This can be fun for some naked j/o but most of you can do better on your own. There are several off-shoot parties on their website that i hear are better.i will be checking them out soon. Let me know what you guys think and the other parties out there that need reveiwing....and i will post this occassionally to offer some guidance.

New York By Night (Garment District)
Went the the great New York By Night party last Wednesday (3/18). They had a huge turnout -- at least 100 guys. I heard from the host that he had at least 25 new guys. The crowd ran a wide variety from the twinks (and their admirers) -- who all seemed to migrate to the couch by the TV (playing porn) to the muscular guys who were fucking on the sectional. There were every kind of guy in between Was a hot time. Got fucked and fucked more often than I care to admit...had one less guy than I wanted, and one more than I should have.

Many people know that they exist, but don’t know where to find them or are too nervous to actually try one out. So we’re taking the mystery out of some of the city’s hottest parties. This party is like a night at a bar in Chelsea on fast-forward. Muscular, attractive guys abound (all in their underwear or less, thanks to the mandatory clothes check) but there’s also a lot of attitude. Held in what seems to be a two-floor residence with hanging curtains to separate the space and beds, benches and couches for the action, the whole event is very organized. There are usually more guys standing around watching or waiting for something better to come along than actually getting it on, but if you want a night full of the city’s hottest guys ripe for the picking, this is the place to go.

Held in a secret warehouse basement, the party’s patrons are greeted with a bright neon wonderland (the walls are literally covered in neon-painted junk) where DJs spin, liquor flows and boys and girls (yes, vagina) roam around in various states of undress. While the winding backroom maze features a mattress and a sling, the atmosphere is more hipster social than dirty dungeon. Plus, the sliding scale admission ($0–$20) and the pay-what-you-can bar means those without funds aren’t turned away.

People socialize before and after the action (and during “rests”) and the play tends to include a number of people rather than pairs heading off into their separate corners. This makes New York By Night the closest thing there is to an actual orgy, but you wouldn’t think that giving the civilized vibe of the affair.

What the crowd is like depends on the time of day and day of the week, but a recent Friday night saw about 50 guys hanging out, many of whom were quite attractive and frisky. There is often on-site HIV testing administered by professionals, but the club’s staff could stand to be a bit friendlier.

I agree -- also, you are paying for help cover the cost of the space, the condoms, the booze, and the energy is went into putting it together. If you've ever tried to even set up a threesome, you know how difficult a setting up a sex party can be.
It's usually $20 or $25, which you'd just waste anyway.
