Guys have been asking me why THE HOT JOCK PARTY was unexpectedly canceled on Sunday night. I am sorry to share the very sad news that Arron, the host of THE HOT JOCK PARTY, has died.
Arron was one of the best hosts to party with. The news of his death (and by the knowledge that it seems to have happened as a result of his own decision to end his life prematurely), has hit and anyone who knew him hard. Besides hosting the New York Jock Party for years, he was also the host of the recently started The Poz Jock Party. Arron's parties were always known for his keen eye for hot guys and wonderful eroticism. He will be greatly missed, and the void he leaves will be keenly felt.
The memorial service for Arron has already occurred, and his ashes have been scattered in the Hudson River per his request. If you would like to contribute to a cause in his honor, an AIDS Walk team has been formed in his name. Please let me know and I'll connect you with the sponsors.

THE HOT JOCK PARTY review
Hey guys, unfortunately here's a disappointing review of THE HOT JOCK PARTY from Sunday...
"I went to the Hot Jock Party this past Sunday. The ad said that it would be a completely naked (no underwear) party. I arrived early and they had already abandoned that idea. There were some guys hanging out, talking to Aaron (the host) near the clothes check. When I went inside to the play area(s), only the downstairs was open and available; that was a bummer. The downstairs is very small, and unfortunately too close and open to the check-in/clothes check. There were maybe 6 large ottomans against the walls, not nearly enough space for anything fun to happen. When I entered there were about 12 guys hanging out, while the host and a handful of guys chatted loudly in the other room. Nothing was happening in the play area. An hour went by and about 15 more guys entered, and still no action. It was like we were next to the kitchen at a frat party. The Greek guy (no pun intended) that leases the place was also there and chatting away. There was a very weird energy in the air. I would have to say that if they close the upstairs, they might want to think about canceling the party all together. The space is just too open and I think it makes people feel uncomfortable. I left very early and unsatisfied. That isn't normal for me for that party."
He later added: "I only lasted until 7:45. Not sure how it was afterwards, but I couldn't stand waiting to see... I've never left that early before. I'm sure it picked up as long as people stayed and more came. My point really was that it usually gets going much earlier at that particular party if the guys show up. The guys did showed up, 20+ people before 7:15 is a lot of guys. The problem is that they weren't doing anything, just standing around, talking. I really believe it was a mixture of the space and the loud talking that delayed the sexual energy. Also, two other guys left when I did at 7:45. I'm not saying that I won't go again, just that Arron needs to think about how the space and his behavior effects the energy of the partiers."
Disappointing because this is always one of the hot parties. I was gonna go on Sunday, but there were a bunch of other parties that night and I decided to hit the NYJOCK PARTY & GBU party instead -- which is may explain why no one was at the HOT JOCK. But, it could be that it's too early (starts at 6pm) or too short (ends at 10pm).
ALSO GOT A REBUTTAL from another reader: "It's odd because many of the things that the other reviewed disliked about Sunday Hot Jock Party were what I viewed as its strengths. First, let's clarify the points of agreement: The space, with the blocked of spiral staircase, was a bit weird. It was also too cold, and the way the furniture was laid out was passing comprehension. I also could have used a bit more light, since I could never really tell what anyone's face looked like, and call me old fashioned, but I like to see a face before I kiss it. But the thing that I actually really liked about this party was the kitchen area, where people were congregating and hanging out a bit. The host is sweet, flirtatious and goes out of his way to make people feel comfortable. The guests that I hung out with in the kitchen all seemed very bright and social, and I appreciated that we could all just sort of hang out and chat. I guess the point of the party is not socializing, but this is what really set this party apart. It wasn't like the NYJP where a bunch of bitchy prima donnas stand around not talking and not fooling around. It wasn't like so many other parties you can't move two feet without someone trying to shove their hand up your asshole. It was funny, friendly, and sexy, but you could actually talk to people. Imagine that. You'd spend a bit of time chatting with your fellows and then you'd head into the back and get your swerve on. I met a couple people there that I would actually talk to if I saw them in public, which is basically never the case with these things. And for the record, the boys at this party were par excellance. They were just as good as the bitches that populate NYJP. Also, for the record, the sex was super hot, and I got off a couple times with absolutely beautiful men."
I still feel that the real problem to me is the space. The 1st floor of the duplex is too weird a space and doesn't have enough furniture to fuck on or even sit down. It's better when the upstairs is used too. But all that said, the party was much better when it was held in the hotel suite. The space was more contained and guys were forced to be on top of one another. Also hotel sex is always hot. Anyway -- don't give up on THE HOT JOCK PARTY, but I wish the hosts would be more careful when they all decide to have their parties on the same night.

Review of Sunday's PRIVATE PARTY
Dudes, as my readers know, I'm always recommending PRIVATE PARTY, and this Sunday's party was great as usual. The next party is a few weeks away on Wednesday, December 1.
Here's a first-timers' rave about the party, and even the interview process. Check it out and see you on December 1. (And if you're not already on the list -- send the host an email now)...
"I was referred to your blogspot several months ago because I have always been curious about a gay group sex party. Although you had all the information that I needed I was very unsure about how to proceed. I am a handsome, worked-out,ivy-league educated attorney with no interest in rec drugs and only interested in safer sex.I was uncomfortable about sending pictures let alone an interview to join a group but I also thought that the "open" parties could not be what I would want. Last week I finally contacted the host of Private.Party,since you suggested this party is best for the uninitiated. I am not sure what I expected but I ended up with an amazing explanation of the gay-life history of this guy, which led to him creating these parties. After the why's, he explained the party and procedures in detail.We then talked a bit about me.I was happy that he repeatedly stressed safe-sex and drug free. He claimed that these parties were also very friendly and social with good looking career-oriented guys. He was open to all my questions which were ,I now admit, a bit snarky.That call was an interesting and pleasant experience. But I was still not sure that I was willing to "interview" and not convinced that this was exactly what he claimed it to be. But IT WAS! I went on Sunday night,admittedly with a chip on my shoulder about having to interview in person. I was greeted warmly at the door by the host and offered a drink and made to feel very comfortable before it was my turn. Moments later I am having a naked chat with 3 charming gentlemen ,who made me feel so at ease and sooo eager to be part of this group. The rest of the men interviewing seemed similar in age and stats to me but 2 were turned down for some reason. The venue is large but not huge, clean and nice and well-lit ,which was important to me.Refreshments were plentiful and all other needs in large supply.Members started to arrive at 8 and by 8:30 it seemed very active---I was a kid in a candy store . Everywhere around me were truly attractive guys talking , laughing, catching up and having more sex than I actually thought one could handle in a few hours. It was all so inclusive--I did not realize that you could have a large group of gay men in one room and not be overwhelmed with attitude and airs. The rest was a blur of more fun than I have had since college. I left with phone numbers, e mails and ,I think, a handful of new friends. I am sorry that there is a month gap between his events. So,chastised and educated ,I learned that if you submit to a screening and interview you will be part of a group that knows how to interact socially, sexually and safely. They did a great job. It seemed like everyone had all kinds of fun.
I noted the next few of these parties and will eagerly return on Dec. 1 .But now,Evan,am spoiled and all else will be downhill in the group sex circuit? I am going to try some others but I am not sure that I can handle more fun than I had last night. Thank you,Evan, for helping us all thru this daunting maze of groups and parties."

THE HOT JOCK PARTY (Thurs Night) -- Don't Miss It!
One of my favorite parties is Thursday night -- THE HOT JOCK PARTY,which is now held in a HUGE apartment in Gramercy. It's this Thursday night (7-11pm). Don't miss it -- guys in mostly 20s -30s, some hot 40s, all races, and in great shape -- it's above average to hot muscle guys, and twinks.
Not a lot of attitude. Some hot sex, and a good mix of guys. Easy one of the best parties -- and one of few that you get a good mix of guys and sex. Last Thursday's party was amazing -- some very hot guys -- a great mix of white, black and latino guys. Some great fucking and sucking going on. I'm definitely going back this week. The Hot Jock Party (review of last night's party)
Went to one of my favorite parties last night (Thursday) -- THE HOT JOCK PARTY. I always enjoy this party because there are always plenty of hot guys, and plenty of fucking & sucking. It's also cool because this party is usually held in a hotel suite near Grand Central--which to me is totally hot. I LOVE HOTEL SEX. Unfortunately, the host told me that he was having problems getting the big hotel suite, so last night he held the party at what can only be called a "sex space" in Gramercy. The space is perfectly okay -- very nice duplex -- but somehow not as decadent as a hotel room full of naked guys. Also the space in Gramercy is HUGE -- too big for The Hot Jock Party, which is really hot in an intimate space like a hotel suite.
Anyway -- I got there early and stayed until about 9:30pm. Had a very hot time -- some hot and fun guys showed up (as always) -- maybe about 35 guys (usually they get far more) -- but because the space is so HUGE, it seemed sort of empty -- also, guys seemed to pair off, so instead of great man-on-man-on-man-on-man orgy action -- it was mostly just man-on-man action. All of which is cool, but it's not why I usually have such a great time at this party. When the party is held in the hotel everyone is sort of fucking on top of each other -- which, personally, I prefer.
Anyway, Aaron, if you're listening (and you're probably not), the hotel space is much more fun. Also, as much I love mid-week group sex, the Sunday night parties are usually bigger. All said guys, it was totally hot, I fucked my share of bottoms, and one dude even fucked me. Will definitely be there again next time -- no matter what night or location.
